Storm floods crawlspace in Colorado Springs
A client called us saying he had a mystery on his hands. His wife was complaining of a musty smell that had been persisting for about a month. He contacted us requesting a moisture inspection to determine the cause.
We couldn't locate any sources of moisture in the living space, so our technician went down into the crawlspace to investigate.
Once he went inside he discovered the client's sump-pump had stopped working leaving the crawlspace vulnerable to flooding.
We extracted the standing water, help arrange for the pump to be fixed, installed drying equipment to make sure the wooden beams dried out. The final step was to blow thermal fog through the crawlspace to coat the beams with an anti-microbial and to help deodorize.
