Fire and Smoke Detectors False Alarm in a Hotel
The dust on the carpeting of this corridor in a hotel in Colorado Springs was the result of a false alarm. The fire suppressing powder had no where to go since there was no fire, except on the commercial grade carpeting in the hallway. We used HEPA filtered vacuums to suction the dust from the fibers of the carpeting. We sealed off both ends of the corridor to limit the spreading of the dust as an airborne nuisance, and also to islolate the hotel guests from this area. We then had our CCT, carpet cleaning technician specialist, put the final touches on restoring the flooring to its pre-loss condition, "Like it never even hapened."
