Hidden Mold

A homeowner in Manitou Springs called us when they noticed parts of their hardwood in their family room began lifting from the subfloor.  They also noticed an increasingly musty smell in the air, so they called us to investigate.

When we used our moisture detection equipment on the hardwood, we discovered water was slowly seeping inside below the hardwood due to poor drainage on the home's exterior.

It was necessary to remove the contents from the entire room and pull up the hardwood to expose and dry the subfloor below.  As you can tell by the photos, they had quite a bit of mold growing under their floor for months and had no idea!
