Slow leak leads to mold problems

A property manager called us out to a local apartment complex when a tenant was reporting water staining on his bedroom ceiling.  After we opened the ceiling, it was apparent a slow leak in a drain line was causing the issue.

Slow leaks can be particularly bothersome to deal with because the damage happens very slowly - sometime going unnoticed for months.  

Inside the ceiling cavity we found a good deal of mold associated with this leak.  It was necessary to build a containment in the bedroom to prevent spores from being spread throughout the home during demolition.  

After the demo is performed under containment and affected area dried, we treated the ceiling cavity with an anti-microbial agent to discourage future mold growth.  If you think you are experiencing a mold issue, give us a call for your free inspection and estimate.
